Recruitment Agencies

An employment agency is an organization that acts as a mediator between employers and employees. Their objective is to match employers with skilled workers. There are publicly funded agencies in many developed countries. There are also many privately owned agencies. Both types of agencies offer websites to aid in job hunting.

Public employment agencies maintain a database of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers who are available for hire. Private agencies work in the same manner. Applicants provide information to both types, covering their experience and marketable skills. Private agencies may offer training and usually have closer relationships with local employers.
